Overview:
Emerald is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our MJBiz team. MJBizDaily is the most trusted B2B news source for the cannabis industry in the US and Canada, producing online news services, newsletters, magazines, and major trade shows.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing the marketing, advertising, and promotional activities required to meet lead generation and sales goals for MJBiz. Working in partnership with the VP of Sales, the Marketing Manager will create and execute multifaceted b2b marketing campaigns to increase brand and product awareness and increase conversion by nurturing prospects and generating qualified leads. The Marketing Manager is also responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on activity and results.

The best candidate for this position will bring a dual-minded approach to balance creativity with process, data, and results.

This position can be performed from any of our US-based offices or remotely from anywhere within the US.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of results-focused multichannel campaigns that increase brand awareness, qualified leads, and conversions
  • Identify growth opportunities and prospect lists
  • Conceptualize, execute, and manage automated email campaigns to increase conversions and facilitate customer success
  • Run lead generation and nurture campaigns, including PPC, OOH, social, cross-promotions/barters, print, direct mail and others
  • Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content
  • Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity converts to customers, and continually refine campaigns to improve results
  • Disseminate relevant content including case studies, blogs/news, infographics, videos, podcasts, webinars, and others
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and visually integrated reports from multiple sources to continuously inform marketing strategy and recap marketing campaign performance
  • Manage production of graphic and video design requirements, including sales materials
  • Oversee content and updates for brand websites, virtual platforms, and mobile apps
Qualifications:
  • Experience creating and managing b2b marketing content, including writing campaigns, managing websites, and circulating existing digital content through marketing channels
  • Preference for experience in tradeshow/event/media industries or an agency environment
  • Experience building, automating, executing, and analyzing performance of email campaigns using complex tools like Pardot and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience creating and managing multimedia content across marketing channels
  • Experience defining and translating data into actionable insights that influence marketing strategy
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, including creative agencies, freelance talent, and technology suppliers
  • Creative mindset with a history of conceiving new and innovative campaigns
  • Proactive work style that demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize, multitask, and identify potential challenge areas
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with multiple functional groups both internally and externally
  • Proficient with additional tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Tableau, and A2Z a plus
  • Some travel required (5-10%)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Target Compensation: $80,000-85,000 (bonus eligible)
Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
